| Small is beautiful | We are a small privately owned company that designs, sources and imports distinct and high quality products in a fair and ethical manner. We only sell in reasonably low volumes and operate a “no tat” policy, so you won’t see our products everywhere. |
| We love our products | We genuinely love our products as we know how much effort, skill (and patience) has gone into making them and getting them to you. We will only ever sell things that we like and would want to see in our own house. We know the craftspeople involved and pay fair prices. |
| How did we get here? | Always a difficult one to answer!
Seriously though, we started Handsourced after having spent 20 months travelling across South East Asia with our young family. We started by sending packages of goods back home and then developed strong relationships with craftspeople and the communities they work in. |
| Why are we doing this? | We think that there is a lot to learn from how people in other countries live their lives. Our aim is to offer products that help our customers enjoy themselves, keep things simple and to relax. We also hope that they will also add a bit of fun and colour to your life as they have to ours. |
| Not all take take take | A proportion of the profits we make are being reinvested into charity projects in the local communities of the countries the goods are made. For example in Bali, we are sponsoring two local girls to attend a fantastic not for profit school. Please check out www.pelangischoolbali.com/ for more details.
